On 5/27 just after 0145 this morning, the box alarm was struck for a report of an apartment fire in the 6800 block of Riverdale Road in the first due. Engine 282, with 6, arrived to find a 3 story garden style apartment with fire showing.

While getting a line on it, it was discovered fire had extended into the cock loft, and a 2nd alarm was struck. A 3rd alarm was then requested for additional man power. 282 operated for 6 hours before returning to service.
