at 0509 hours. Engine 28 was dispatched to Rt 50 at the Capitol Beltway for an accident with a report of entrapment. Engine 28 arrived on the scene and found a vehicle on its side with the driver partially ejected out of the drivers side window and was trapped with the vehicle resting on his chest. nbspEngine 28s crew pulled an attack line and began treating the patient. Rescue Squad 6 arrived on the scene and began stabilizing the vehicle. Due to the complexity of the entrapment the vehicle had to be first lifted off the patients chest with air bags then multiple extrication tools were used to cut the vehicle to free the patient. Once the patient was free from the vehicle he was transported to a local trauma centre by paramedics. Engine 28 operated for 45 minutes before going in service.nbsp
