West Lanham Hills VFD responded to the 6300 block of Chestnut Avenue, New Carrollton for a reported plane crash into a house. 911 began receiving multiple calls for a plane into a residential neighborhood with multiple homes on fire. Firefighters arrived on location to find a single engine plane into a home and a vehicle on fire across the street. No one was inside of the home at the time of the crash. The pilot did not survive the crash and no one on the ground was injured. NTSB and Maryland State Police are investigating the incident.
