Around 1840 Hrs Engine Companies 28 and 48 were dispatched for the reported house fire on the 6800 block of 3rd St in Riverdale Heights13. Engine 28 dispatched 2nd due arrived simultaneously with Engine 13 and found a single family home with a basement with fire showing from all 3 floors. Units went to work extinguishing the fire. Engine 48 arrived shortly after and went to work on Side 3. Units were ordered to operate on the exterior only until they could get better control of the fire and push in. The fire went out without incident.
