pEngine Companies 28 amp 48 were called for the Townhouse Fire with People Trapped in Greenbelt on Laurel Hill Road. The fire broke out at 2 Laurel Hill Road just before 9 p.m. The row house had fire on divisions 1 amp 2 with fire through the roof and spreading to the exposures when the first units arrived on scene. Engine 48 arrived 3rd due and worked alongsidenbspthe first due engine companynbspto extinguish the fire on the first floor. Meanwhile Engine 28 arriving 4th due with fire still through the roof stretched a 600 line to the Delta exposure as directed by Command but was then redirected around back and up to the secondnbspfloor of the original housenbspand extinguished the fire in the upstairs and the attic alongside Enginenbsp7. WLH Chiefs also operatednbspon thenbspscene. Chief 48A held Side C Command Chief 28B held Attack Group Command amp Chief 28 held Operations Command.ppFirst arriving units also pulled 2 people out of the blazing home.nbspOne victim whose name has not been released was pronounced dead on the scene. The other was transported to the hospital in critical condition.nbspOfficials say that anbspman and a woman also sustained injuries while exiting their home and were taken to a local hospital. Five other people were displaced from homes on both sides of the fires house of origin. There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.p
