pRight before 8am the box alarm for a reported house fire was hit for 6322 Kinsey Terrace in 48rsquos first due. Engine 484 arrived on the scene and found a small fire in the basement and knocked the fire while Truck 28 checked for extension and started ventilation. No injuries were reported and the cause was an overheated extension cord.nbsppp Please remember to use a heavier gauged extension cord on large items and NEVER use and extension cord as permanent wiring. Power strips are only rated for so many amps. NEVER overload a power strip and large items should be plugged directly into a wall outlet.nbspp
