Just before 9am the box alarm was sounded for a reported house fire sending Engine 281 as the first due engine. Communications advised responding units they were receiving numerous calls. Engine 281 arrived to find a one story rancher style single family dwelling with smoke showing from the eves. While the driver was connecting the supply line and charging the attack line a civilian car went around the wagon and into the fire scene striking our driver. Our driver was shaken up a bit but continued operating on the scene. He was checked out by EMS crews and refused transport. nbspdivbrdivdivThe fire was under control in about 10 mins and command held Engine 281 and Tower 33 for extensive overhaul.
